{September 27, 2007}   Au Revoir

Just how much effort did Calum put into this?

Seriously, he actually went to my Pretty Intense Lolly Eating, pressed the printscreen button, and then pasted that into this Hitler movie thing, despite the incredible irony that I am in fact wearing a Russian hat. It is rather good though.

Apparantly, it’s been quite cold of late. I don’t know about that though, as I have no feelings.

Other Stuff

  • The DVD, once again, failed to arrive.
  • WipEout Pulse’s Wikipedia page said it was coming out tomorrow, which clearly isn’t true, so I edited it to say it was coming out in November.
  • There is a demo of Sega Rally on the PlayStation Store…I might download it, just to see how awful it is.
  • Annie’s going to Hong Kong tomorrow, and has left me with the task of trying to get Alex to not beat up some guy (who kinda deserves to it), for an event that happened a year ago because the guy is pretty thick. Or something. I plan on manipulating both of them and pulling them into some sort of Battle Royale situation, in which both of them will explode.
  • applemilk1988 has made a new video…but, due to some freak of nature, she is speaking some sort of backwards language, which no-one can understand. Pfft, she doesn’t seem quite so crazy when she speaks Japanese. Pity.
  • If Hikki releases a new English album…and it gets released in the UK (as Exodus did)…that means I’ll be able to go to a shop, and buy a Hikki CD. This concept confuses and terrifies me.
  • “Animato was the first song Utada wrote for Exodus when she was bedridden with a benign ovarian tumor.” …what?
  • If my DVD doesn’t arrive tomorrow morning, I will, quite literally, die.
  • Seb thought up The Butt Collector, a new YouTube video thing. Check out his trailer on my YouTube. Unfortunately, he has decided not to make it, for fear of never being able to go outside again. I even made little paper advertisements for it too. :(
  • I’ve been listening to Malice Mizer’s softer French style songs. They’re so great. I made a haiku about them in a free today. I’ll be making a new page including all my poetic works soon (this is in no way copied from Calum’s blog).
  • Casshern is awesome.
  • I’ve started on the Video Phil Chrismtas Special. It too, will be awesome.
  • Otsuka Ai’s Love PiECE and YUI’s Love & Truth came out yesterday, but no copies have hit eBay yet, unfortunately.
  • Fry’s Peppermint chocolate bars make me lose all my Oxygen, fall over and die. The orange ones are great, though
  • “When this blog hits 30,000 posts, you’re gonna see some serious shit.”
  • It’s the Japnese Grand Prix at the Fuji Speedway this weekend, so I’ll have to record it on the V+ box thing. Fuji is on Gran Turismo 4. I like it when they use circuits that are on games - you know where the cars are, and you follow their moves as they go round.
  • Apparantly, most of the FF Versus XIII trailer won’t actually be what the game will look like, and the main character’s final design will be unveiled next year. It’s just a field of lies with you, Square, isn’t it?
  • I’m apparantly in love with a girl called Natsumi.
  • I wonder if Natsumi…has some nice assss.
  • Tom went to sleep on my school shirt (I wasn’t wearing the shirt at the time).
  • “You’re stuck here for eternity - stuck here in New France!”

{September 20, 2007}   Tokyo By Night Part 2: The Revenge

Random note before this post begins: I thought this picture of Hikki was adorable, so here it is.

Unlike last year’s TGS (which I wrote a blog post on, one year ago…), this year’s event, held in Mukhari Messe (the same location for Live 8, the Tokyo Motor Show and the Square-Enix Party), actually has some interesting news coming out of it. For a start, there are three new Kingdom Hearts games. Three! Pity I can only play one of them, as only one of them is for PSP - the other two are for mobile phones and the DS. Oh well, let’s make some bullet points.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is for the PSP, and will apparantly take place in the future, where Sleeping Beauty has…something…and Sora is…wearing a hoodie.

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (no-one has any idea how to say the title out loud) is for the Nintendo DS and will have Roxas. It will also introduce the 14th member of…Organization…XIII.

Kingdom Hearts: Coded is for mobile phones, and therefore nobody cares what it’s about or consists of.

To get slightly more in-depth looks at the trio, look here.

Other Stuff

  • Sony have bought Evolution Studios, and are working on MotorStorm 2.
  • There is now a vibrating PS3 controller, using the incredibly imaginitive name, Dual Shock 3, due to be released here in Spring 2008. Games that have already been released (eg, MotorStorm) will be made compatible with the vibration function via a downloadable software upgrade.
  • New trailers for all the FFXIII games were shown. By the way, Squenix haven’t actually released any trailers outside their Giant Mega Theatre Of Doom. Obviously. FFXIII now has a “brunette with a bow” and some sort of “cybernetic woman partially composed of water”. Meanwhile, Versus XIII now has a shotgun-wielding guy in a vest, and a sword-wielding girl in a skirt. Vest guy FTW.

  • PlayStation Home (which only the proper sad people care about) has been postponed until the year 2065.
  • Warhawk comes out on BD tomorrow. I’m not gonna get it.
  • Squall will be in Dissidia.
  • LocoRoco Cocoreccho came out for £1.99 on the PS Store today.
  • The new GT5 Prologue trailer kicks all kinds of ass. Does anyone know the name of the song? I think it might be by Feeder…maybe…nah, I have no idea.
  • The woman in armour when Genesis goes into the Lifestream turned out to be the Goddess - the very planet itself. Also, she doesn’t kill Genesis, she cures him of his degeneration… Oh, and she’s called Minerva, which is the name of a Greek Goddess, apparantly. Also, this suggests that Jenova is merely the spirit of another planet, but, when the planet, I dunno, exploded, she came to the planet in FFVII…and started killing everybody. This has been a fairly long bullet point.

  • Hmmm…it seems that the actual new GT-R will be in GT5 Prologue in non-concept form, albeit covered with some black tape. How interesting. Prologue comes out in Japan on 13th December.
  • “New” FFXIII screenshot. Meh.
  • Japan are going to beat Wales at rugby later, and I’ll be laughing, laughing, LAUGHING!!!
  • Advent Children Complete has been officlally postponed until 2008. Awww.
  • I have General Studies tomorrow. Fuck you, General Studies.
  • The rest of my Physics class will be going to Cardiff University tomorrow. Fortunately, I am not. And I’ll be laughing, laughing, LAUGHING!!!
  • I am not going to Nottigham in December, choosing instead to go next year, maybe, whatever.
  • As it turns out, no new FFXIII title, nor Endless Crisis Final Fantasy VII exist. Meh.
  • Will my DVD arrive tomorrow? Yes, yes it will. Nah, it wont.

{September 17, 2007}   The Library

I just uploaded Bouncy Buddies Episode 5. It truly is awful. I think it’s surprising that it has a fairly decent storyline (compared to something like Heroes, or Final Fantasy XII), despite being based around a rabbit of varying gender, a jar of Marmite, a picture of James Bond (from the free Blu-ray of Casino Royale I had from Sony, ’cause they rock) and a new character - Dewey - whom I lent my most retarded voice to.

One of the many results of Crisis Core was that, what with Zack generally being portrayed as witty, heroic, handsome and cute, and the ultimate sadness of his death, it does make Kadaj seem like scum when he kicks his sword over in Advent Children. Speaking of that, the Sony Pictures site which said it was coming out on Blu-ray on November 5th, which was then was removed, has been replaced with a single sentence, saying that it will be coming to Blu-ray in 2008. Well duh. It’s TGS in three days (conveniently making that another Thursday TGS Blog All-Nighter Special), so we may see an ACC trailer then. Doubt it though. Meanwhile, here’s the Nibelheim incident - Crisis Core style.

In a minute I’m going to upload something incredibly anoraky to DeviantART. If you want to leave this site still having the same high levels of respect for me as you most probably do right now, I’d suggest not going on my DA. Really.

My mum is still watching that Shogun thing. Apparantly we’re on disc 3. Some old guy was beheaded. And some English-speaking woman is following the main character about everywhere. The guy from Lord Of The Rings hasn’t returned yet. What actually happens at the end of LotR anyway? Do they all go to “Heaven”? Very confusing nonsense. I think it would have been much more powerful if Frodo and Sam just died on that rock.

Oh yes, what did I do in school today? Well, our Physics teacher is sympathetic towards me and my lack of organisational skills. I’ve also been going around pretending to be Juicebox 8, from the greatest ever episode of KnoxKast - Episode 11: The Library. It was quite random.

CHRIStMASs IS COMINnG - HyDE UR MilK!

NoWE KOdA KUMI hAZ uR MILlkz¬!!

I bought that DVD I said I was going to buy - Ai Am Best by Otsuka Ai. It’s coming from Hong Kong, from the same guy I bought that ZONE thing from. I wonder if he’ll put another special gift in… Actually, on all the websites and forums I’ve been on, the thing I’ve bought isn’t supposed to exist, as it’s only been released in CD+DVD form, not just the DVD. So, it’s either fake, or such an obscure Hong Kong-only release that no-one has bothered to write about it.

I’m sucking on a piece of cheese now. I plan to be sucknig it for most of the night, occasionally dipping it in Marmite. If this vision has disturbed you at all, please contact a psychologist at once.

{September 13, 2007}   One-Winged Angel

Who’s that? Could it be…? No, surely not. Why, he’s wearing a purple shirt, and that isn’t his usual hair style. Wait, it does look like him. My, it is him! Or is it? From afar, he does look a bit like a girl. Should I say hello? But what if it isn’t him, I’d look like a right fool. Ah well. Oh, here he comes, will he acknowledge my existence? No.

In-keeping with the tradition of having all the blogs in my blogroll mystically connected somehow, I later learned that the mystical man walking towards me outside school this morning was, indeed, Alex. And he was about to go to college. The same college that Calum now goes to. Well, I’ll be.

Calum has written a beautiful poem for my birthday (hmm? You hadn’t heard?) it’s on his blog, somewhere. It truly is heart warming.

Annie says she doesn’t get the Physics homework, and is going to ask either me or Dave for help. I’d ask Dave if I was her, as I have no idea what’s going on either.

As you probably know (you really should, by now, tbh), CC was released today/yesterday in Japan. Unfortunately, due to UMDs being terribly hard to rip from, and Square-Enix’s determination for no-one to see the ending (unless you buy the game of course….it’d be pretty mean if, even then, they didn’t allow you to see the ending.) Nevertheless, we over at Planet Phil never give up, and no large company can keep the ending from our people…

Of course, it’s just in picture form…(you didn’t actually think I was that efficient, did you?).

Well, here’s Zack, lying down all bloody and about to die, as you would expect…

And here’s Cloud looking quite sad at the death of his best friend (naturally)…

…walking away, high on mako, taking Zack’s sword with him…

…but oh! What’s this? I say, stars…

…*gasp*, I know those boobs!…

….et cetera…

…Cloud…saying something…

…ZOMFG!

So, a remake of FFVII is now only a matter of time. Of course, this ending allows  Squenix to not make a remake at all, as it could just mean to play the original FFVII…but it’s far too much of a financial temptation not to remake one of the most popular games ever made.

But wait! There’s more! The video of Genesis and Angeal fighting Sephiroth has made it’s way online (here), complete with the Sister Ray being completely cut up by the guys’ swords, a new version of One-Winged Angel, and Genesis blowing Angeal’s face off. It really is made of awesome.

Firmware 3.71 is now out for the PSP. I downloaded it. It’s good. It allows you to change the look of the actual buttons/symbols on the screen with downloadable themes…I’ve made them all pink, then added in a green background, just for that special sickly effect. Also, the ability to listen to music whilst viewing photos is a brilliant idea (the forumers came up with that years ago, but Sony have only now just begun to listen). Meanwhile, on the PS3, Firmware 1.93 is neither exciting nor worth talking about, neither is the quite awful FIFA 2008 demo, but the LocoRoco Cocoreccho trailer is something quite special, with all the different coloured LocoRocos singing at the same time as each other. I hope there’s a demo for it. Probably not.

Hello Kitty Hell, a long feature of my blogroll, has surprisingly been mentioned on IGN for discovering the Hello Kitty Earphone Charms, which, as tradition dictates, should become popular in this country in 3 years time. Just for the record, whoever thought of this was clearly an idiot.

Other Stuff

  • McLaren have been fined £50million, and have had all of their constructor’s points taken off them, although the dirver’s points remain. Lol.
  • Apparantly, YUI’s song Jam is getting a PV (promotional video, i.e. music video, but typing ‘PV’ into YouTube makes a lot more sense than ‘music video’), and it’s airing tomorrow.
  • The Simpsons Movie is coming out on DVD on December 18th.
  • FF Tactics: Lions Go At It Uber-Stlye is coming out on October 5th.
  • Tom is furry. Furry? Fury? Whatever.
  • 2 new pics I drew in a study period are on DeviantART! Woot.
  • Calum wanted to get me a Bible, or something Japanese, or a book of sex tips. I suggested a sex tips Bible written in Japanese.
  • Shinzo Abe has announced his resgnation as PM of Japan, due to be replaced by a super-intelligent robot, dressed as Gackt, waving magic dust all over the palce with its magic wand-stick.
  • Foot And Mouth is back! Just like SARS and Bird Flu before it, it too poises a significant threat to the survival of the human race.
  • The Links page has been mildly updated.
  • KnoxKast episode…sixty…something…pushes the boundaries of radio drama further than ever before, again.

{September 4, 2007}   The First Day

It was the first day of non-compulsory education today. It’s…quite different. I am now in form 12A, with Aaron. We talk shite most of the time. It’s an art room with my year 7 English Lit teacher. My Biology teacher reminds me of Dr.Phil, who is today appearing on Countdown. Chemistry is hard. However, Sixth Form seems a lot more exciting, with lots going on, always somewhere to rush to, and we’re in with years 7, 8 and 9, so it’s kinda crazy at break and lunchtime, which have now been returned to their common sense places in the timetable. Study periods are awesome, and General Studies is bound to be a hoot. I wrote an ‘O RLY?’ sign, which I may show you tomorrow in photo form. Speaking of that, I have mastered Go!Edit to take pictures set on a timer. Woot. Elsewhere, Kayla is now in year 12 with us. She once taught me a funny poem about a sleigh. O_o. Oh, and we had the most boring assembly in the world. It was literally, just, like…annoying. It was like watching people trying to wear down 50 minutes of your life by going over things we already knew, sometimes repeating those things, sometimes not saying anything at all. My fleece fits strangle well - has it gotten bigger over Summer? Maybe I’ve gotten smaller. Meh.

I’m now eating Marmite flavoured Walkers.

Here’s the pointless Citroen C-Cactus (lol, cactus) Concept:

Other Stuff

  • Jamie is back from mainland Europe, and is now compiling some sort of holiday video. Woo.
  • How long have I had my schoolbag for ? Did I have it in year 10? Either way, it’s doing well.
  • I’m watching Jason Steele’s ‘Spatula Madness’…it’s…quite random.
  • DID SOMEBODY SAY “RANDOM”?!
  • And what better way to say ‘I love you’ than with the gift of a spatula! SPATULA CITY! We’re in the Yellow Pages under ’spatulas’!
  • We now have food tags. These are pointless. We also have a Samsung monitor/TV/thing in the dining hall extension. Pfft.
